Everyday Vocabularies You are working hard to increase your vocabulary. Here is another tip to keep you going, which will eventually make you reach your goal.  LISTEN AND READ. Be a voracious reader. Read publications, magazines, listen to videos and audio recordings in your new language. This will introduce you to a plethora of words. Try to get the meaning of these words. Remember, at least 5 to 10 each day. There are really no secrets or shortcuts, you just need to commit to your new language; be willing to work hard and not be afraid to make mistakes .
